Fantastic city, lots to explore here.
Beautiful old town, plenty of restaurants and bars. But also the districts around the mostly touristic old town have a lot to discover. Come here and see yourself. You wouldn't be disappointed.

With my arrival in Riga i also finished the royal stage (or a least i guess it was) of my trip. 140km from Jekabpils to Riga, about 1.5h of rain and the last 30km against front wind.
...but the route was quite flat so i didn't encounter too many difficulties. And yeah...somwhen since Warsaw, also my knee-problems ended.

The river Daugava seems to be one of the main energy-sources of Latvia. Along todays ride, there were three hydroelectric powerplants.

Liked the scenery and - for once - had the camera just at hand.

My stay isn't marvellous but the city itself has quite a few nice spots and picturesque sights.
