For my last ride back home, i chose to put my bicycle on a hook and sit down in a comfortable chair in the train.
Somehow the ride - about 9h - didn't leave me as cool as i hoped. The train was quite crowded and in the waggon i had my reserved seat, the air conditioning seemed to be broken.
...faint memories of the Finnish Sauna came to mind. =o)

With todays trip, i reached Hamburg, my new home from November on.
Funny coincidence, it's been exactly 99 days since i've left Switzerland.

Yesterday and today, i cycled the most time on the popular Ostseefernradweg (no idea how to translate this).
This means tons of other cyclists on mainly very well paved dedicaded cycle-tracks. Kind of the German autobahn. Some short parts although were more like dirt tracks. A lot of fun as soon as my tank-like ride got a bit of speed. =o)

As it was in the Allgäu, some months ago. Cycling in Germany is quite a pleasure...if you're able to find/follow the cycle-tracks. =o)
One thing that kept me swearing from time to time was the wind. The trees in the picture give you a little hint about the strenght of it.

Getting to the Hostel yesterday turned into a little odyssey. It started in Gedser, where i took a ferry for the second time this day.
Scheduled start was at 15:30. Due to some technical problems, we left the harbour with about one hour delay.
Arriving in Rostock, i noticed that there is only a tunnel to get to the other side (and my hostel) of the canal. A freeway tunnel. Not that it would be impossible...but well...
...i took the detour around the canal and ended up arriving at around 19:30 at the hostel.

But now - the next day - everything is fine again. =o)
