getting rid of a loyal companion

Not only the Baltic Sea i had to leave behind me. Also my Rivella bottle from Switzerland had to get dumped for it had was leaking through a tiny hole.

...okay...you might also say this bottle was more than two months in use and therefore utterly disgusting...and yes...you'd be right.
cycling in Sweden

My first cycling-day in Sweden brought me lots of decent views over large cornfields, some nice harbours and a few cozy beaches at the lake.
The road was - compared to other countries - very decent (as were the car/lorry-drivers) and the weather perfect.
bavabici & cycling community

While strolling through the rain (the day before this photo was taken), i discovered this gem of a shop - bavabici - selling baby clothes as well as decent bicycle parts.
After having a good chat with Simona (shopkeeper and 'mother of Stockholms fixedgear community') and the offer to maintain my bicycle in front of her shop i returned the day after on brightest sunshine.
The best thing was yet to happen. While getting dirty with my bike, another lad (John - mechanic & owner of the awesome vintage bike) joined in. Simona made coffee and we had a good time.
Later on, John showed me some nice bicycle stores and invited me for a beer in the eve with some of this mates. Had a great time. Again!
Stockholm by rain

After checking in at the hotel (at about 07:15 in the morning) it started to rain...
..and it didn't stop until evening.
The good part of the rain though, there were almost no people in the otherwise crowded old town.
incredible atmosphere

I didn't pass the best night in the cramped cabin with 2 other guys and the disco pumping just one floor above.
Therefore i went up a bit earlier to have a quiet breakfast on the sundeck.
Except for some people still partying in the smokers-area on the same deck, there was just the deep murmur of the engine and this incredible view on those many small islands and towns.
An appropriate compensation for the not-so-cozy night.
