fast..faster..freeway

It's quite hard to find acceptable roads (meaning no gravel) between Örebro and Karlstad to avoid using the freeway without taking 10, 20 or more extra kilometers.
So i went for the fastest solution and took the freeway for about half of todays route. That means...focusing on staying as close to the ditch without ending up in it while tons of cars, campers and lorries passed by. The picture describes pretty much what i saw during this time...

...it wasn't all too bad though. Sometimes i felt even a bit like in meditation. But still..i won't do it that often again. Promise.

In search of a restaurant i tripadvisored a bit and found this inconspicious place (still open..of course) here - the full english.
Their burger and fries - all homemade - were absolutely delicious. If you should once stay in Örebro - for whatever reason - go check out this place.

Somehow i got in contact with the couple that owns the restaurant plus a swedish friend of theirs, chatting outside. We had a good laugh and somehow ended up at around 22:00...
...they usually close at 20:00. =o)

PS. I just noticed that my mobilephone didn't save the GPS-coords while taking the picture. The restaurant is located at Vasatorget 2 in Örebro.
lunchtime

In about the middle of the trip, i crossed this snug village. The decision to make a break for lunch came easily...sitting besides the river, enjoying the view and some sandwiches.
Swedens hinterland

For todays 'short trip' from Västerås to Örebro i rode mostly on highways. The first half of it was a bit tiring, following long straight roads with only corn fields and some lonely buildings besides.
The weather and the colours were amazing still.
summer in the city

Likewise to todays journey, Västerås (the city i'm staying tonight) has lots of nice spots, cafes and restaurants.
